History: Nikolai was born during the height of the cold war. He grew up in Moscow and took an early liking to chess. This got him noticed rather early in life as an apparent tactical genius. His skill was proven the first time he participated in war games once he joined the army. Due to the changing times, Nikolai was unable to participate in what he considers a real war during his career with the Russian army. After the fall of communism, he drifted through civilian jobs until he was found by E.V.I.L. Corp. and became one of the three generals at the head of their private security force.
Author's Comments: Nikolai is the embodiment of what I see as the modern soldier. A man raised on stories of the sweeping and ambitious wars of the past, he's now stuck in an era of localized skirmishing and small squabbles. Add the fact that he's getting too old to really participate in any action if some came up, and this doesn't leave him a very happy man. Nikolai's greatest dreams simply involve being able to taste what real combat is like.
Nikolai is what every army wants.
