History: Kyoko has always been a person utterly devoted to helping others. She spent most of her childhood caring for her sickly younger brother until he eventually got married and left home. It seemed perfectly natural for Kyoko that after this experience she should go into nursing. She started working at the san rather than a hospital because she became too attached to her patients and didn't want to have to see them die. She is universally liked at the san because of her gentle and caring attitude.
Author's Comments: I see Kyoko as the utterly devoted caregiver and nurturer. She almost seems like the kind of person who would throw away any chance for happiness just to help out her fellow human beings. She feels very strong bonds to people and is the kind of person who will always believe in her friends, no matter what. Kyoko is quite unsure of what to make of Joe, since she's not used to people not seeming to need help.
Kyoko is a nurse, friend, and mother to humanity.
